PLaN
PLaN (Pregnancy Planning Lifestyle and Nutrition) is aimed at educating women about planning for a healthy pregnancy. The program and clinics aim to educate and empower women from all backgrounds and walks of life through provision of general health and lifestyle advice regarding pre-conception health.
It is estimated that fewer than fifty percent of the population actively plan for pregnancy. With the average GP consultation being approximately 7 minutes, time constraints in general practice exist regarding the provision of pre-conception advice and planning.
PLaN is specifically focussed on pre-conception care, and seeks to improve reproductive health outcomes for women from all backgrounds. The program also empowers women to actively plan for pregnancy with suitable knowledge about a healthy pregnancy.
Visit the RHW Marquee at the Mother’s Day Royal Picnic, where a complimentary PLaN clinic will be available to all women.
